Brexit-Face Quiz

The Morphology of allegiance

I present you with groups of head shots pulled from Facebook. Each group contains a random selection* of people who have made comments that indicate either support for Brexit or support for the UK’s continued membership of the EU. Your task is to guess which group is which.

On the eve of the referendum itself, I shall collate the data and offer my own commentary.

FACES OF BREXIT, APRIL 25th

The people in one of these groups want Britain to leave the European Union, the other to remain in. Can you guess which is which?

* For my sample, I first find a Facebook group or post pertaining to the Brexit subject matter. I then scroll to the first unambiguous comment in favour of Brexit or leaving the EU, in which the commentator is visible in their photograph (i.e. their profile picture is of a human rather than a beer can or pet cat etc.), and the next and so on until I have five samples of each.
